1968 Press Photo Budget Bureau assistant director Peter Lewis in Washington

Peter A. Lewis was appointed assistant director of the Bureau of the Budget, the bureau announced today. Lewis is shown today in his Washington office. The 37-year-old former New York City investment banker fills the post vacated when Charles J. Zwick was named budget director last January 29.
