Richard Lopez of El Paso, Texas, gets a handshake and a plaque from President Kennedy during a White House visit today. The plaque describes the boy as the nation's finest example of "Juvenile decency," after he was chosen from 600,000 members of the Boys' Club of American as the "Boy of the Year."
