1970 Press Photo Roderigo Emelio Lopez arrested in New York store bombing

Police lead man identified as Roderigo Emelio Lopez, 38, from midtown New York City police station Saturday after booking him in connection with the explosion of an incendiary device at Alexander's Department Store. Police said he was arrested after the device apparently went off in his pocket. He was taken to nearby hospital to be treated for burns. In addition to Lopez, who claimed to be from Ecuador, three women were arrested in connection with the incident.
