An attorney turned rape escort. The focus on updated procedures is attracting women from all walks of life in an effort to meet the problem. Bernette Johnson is proof of that. An attorney for New Orleans Legal Assistance for past four and a half years, Ms. Johnson is now the rape escort of the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office. She replaces Marie Galatas, who was dismissed recently by Dr. Frank Minyard, coroner.
