This is a view of the front yard of President Johnson's boyhood home in Johnson City, Texas. It will be dedicated as a public shrine on May 13. A few feet off one of two L-shaped porches on the one-story frame building is a covered well with an oaken bucket, left. Johnson's family and his wife, Lady Bird, spent a year-and-a-half long effort to restore the President's home as it was in his schooldays from about 1913 to 1926.

Photo is dated 1965.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
