Description
The Iranian town of Kakhk is a sea of devastation after the disastrous quake which struck the region three days ago. Almost no buildings can be seen standing in this aerial photo of the town, one of the most severely damaged in the area. The death toll throughout eastern Iran has been estimated officially at 11,000 to 11,600.
