British troops with armored cars halt civilian vehicles on a road leading into the western section of Belfast, Northern Ireland, Sunday following a weekend of rioting and fire-bombings in which five persons were shot to death in skirmishes between Catholics and Protestants. Officials of North Ireland announced that areas of Belfast were being sealed off as the country was facing an attempted revolution. They also issued orders to soldiers to shoot on sight any person using or carrying firearms.
