Verlin Lamberson of Bay, Arkansas, comforts his son, PFC Thomas M. Lamberson, at a U.S. Army Hospital in Yokohama, Japan today. The younger Lamberson was reunited with his father after citizens of Bay contributed $1,000 for the father's plane ticket to Japan. The GI's left leg was amputated below the knee.
