1963 Press Photo Everett Knowles shown at his home six months after operation

One of the most important right arms in medical history in on the mend again at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital. Everett Knowles, 15, whose arm was severed completely in an accident and restored in an historic operation, broke the arm last week in a fall. Knowles is shown at his Somerville, Massachusetts home six months after the May 23, 1963 operation which made him and his arm a part of medical history.
