1974 Press Photo Hale Irwin throws golf ball in air at 18th green in Mamaroneck.

Hale Irwin seems to be a happy man as he tosses the ball in the air after the final putt on the 18th green of Sunday's final round of the U.S Open at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck. Irwin scored a two stroke victory over Forrest Fezler. The win was Irwin's first in the U.S. Open.
