1969 Press Photo Ambassador Pham Dang Lam waves to newsmen in Paris, France

Ambassador Pham Dang Lam, head of the South Vietnamese delegation to the Paris Peace Talks, waves to newsmen after his meeting with U.S. Ambassador Cyrus R. Vance in Paris today. Lam and Vance met shortly before Vance had a meeting with Colonel Ha Ha Lau, a North Vietnamese envoy. It was the first American-North Vietnamese meeting in two weeks.
