There is a speculation Monday that Tran Van Lam, above, 61-year-old president of the Senate, may become president of South Vietnam. President Nguyen Van Thieu, who resigned earlier Monday, named Vice President Trans Van Huong to succeed him, but it is thought that Huong, who is in poor health and virtually blind, would resign along with the entire cabinet. This is a 1973 photo.
