J. Waters Parrish, secretary of the Maryland Senate, points to an oil painting which has been identified as a portrait of former President Andrew Jackson. Parrish discovered the portrait while rummaging around the basement of the Maryland State House, built in 1772. Wilbur Bunker, director of the Peale Museum in Baltimore said the portrait is of Jackson. Probably done after Jackson left the White House in 1837 or 1838. The artist has not yet been identified.

Photo is dated 1963.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
