Description
Tax reform crusader Vivien Kellems, 76, of East Haddam, Connecticut, reads a statement at a news conference call by Representative Wilbur D. Mills, D-AR, in Boston Monday at which he threw his support behind federal legislation to eliminate what he called discrimination against single person and married working couples. Miss Kellems has been battling the U.S. Treasury for three years for what she claims is a $90,000 refund from taxes paid because she is unmarried. Representative Mills is a candidate for the Presidency in Tuesday's Massachusetts primary election.
