1974 Press Photo Impresario Sol Hurok with soprano Maria Callas in New York

Impresario Sol Hurok, shown during February 7, 1974 meeting with soprano Maria Callas in New York, died Tuesday of a heart attack in New York at the age of 85. His office said he became ill during a meeting with David Rockefeller, chairman of the Chase Manhattan Bank. Hurok is most known for bringing Russia's greatest performers to the most prestigious concert halls in America.
