After receiving word that she finished first in a field of 10 in the Boston mayoralty primary, Mrs. Louise Day Hicks greets campaign workers at her headquarters last night. Secretary of State Kevin H. White will oppose her in the November 7 nonpartisan election. Mrs. Hicks, an avowed foe of school desegregation programs led by a margin of more than four to three over White.
