James P. Hoffa, 25, son of jailed Teamsters' Union President James R. Hoffa, was told to "run and run hard" when he asked the advice of his famous father about running for the Michigan Legislature. Young Hoffa, an attorney, is a candidate in the April 25 Democratic primary. The election in the heavily Democratic 19th House District in Detroit was called to fill a vacancy created by the death of House Democratic leader Joseph Kowalski.
