1956 Press Photo Otis Archer Hood held by FBI agents at Boston Federal Building

Hood and six other persons described as top functionaries in the Massachusetts Communist Party organization were arrested earlier in Boston, New York City and Chattanooga, Tennessee. They were charged with conspiracy to violate the Smith Act.
