1959 Press Photo Hoskins quadruplets of California celebrate first birthday

This means the quadruplets of Mr. and Mrs. H. Dean Hoskins, Paul, Margaret, Sarah and Katherine, from left--today are celebrating their first birthday. On this first birthday each of the babies weighs slightly over 18 pounds which was their combined weight when they were born here last April 16. Born a month premature with the odds of 658,503 against such a multiple birth, the babies have thrived and continue to thrive as happily and normally as single births. The father is a prominent Oakland, California plastic and reconstructive surgeon.
