1966 Press Photo Representative Edward Hebert holds testimony at news conference

Representative F. Edward Hebert, D-LA, releases testimony on the views of the Joint Chiefs of Staff concerning a big new bomber. He holds a copy of the testimony at a news conference Thursday. The testimony was taken in closed session by the House Armed Services Subcommittee, of which Hebert is chairman. Hebert said he released the testimony over the objections of the Pentagon to prove Joint Chiefs really wanted the plane.
