1967 Press Photo Paratroopers search Ft. Walton Beach for mini mines

Paratroopers from the 82nd Division wade past bathers near Ft. Walton Beach in Florida in their search for 6,000 mini mines which began washing up on Gulf beaches last weekend. Carried by the tide, the mines are threatening 120 miles of coastline.
