1974 Press Photo Astronaut Edward Gibson's wife holds AP photo after splashdown

Mrs. Julia Ann Gibson, wife of Skylab 3 Science Pilot Edward G. Gibson, holds an Associated Press Wirephoto showing her husband as he prepared to leave the command module after it was picked up from the Pacific Ocean today. With no live television on the splashdown and recovery, this was the first picture of her husband Mrs. Gibson saw. The photo was sent from the aircraft carrier USS New Orleans.

Photo is dated 1974.
