Alan Greenspan, chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, predicted an economic upturn in 1975 during testimony before the Joint Economic Committee in Washington Monday. But he said the recovery, based on a turn-around in the automobile and housing industries, is unlikely to cause much reduction in unemployment.
