1959 Press Photo Police Chief Hathy holds rifle Hargrove used in sniper killing

Police Chief Frank D. Hathy of nearby Mentor displays a .22 caliber, bolt-action rifle which Floyd E. Hargrove said he used to kill his lover's husband on Christmas Eve. The weapon, its stock broken, was recovered today from a branch of the Chagrin River at a spot Hargrove pointed out to police.
