Actress Alexandra Hay, who plays the feminine lead in the controversial play "The Beard," waves gaily from a police car as she and producer Robert Barrows, left, are taken to the police station on one of their many arrests following presentation of the play in Los Angeles. Every night when the curtain comes down, the police make another arrest of the principals.
