1960 Press Photo Senators William Fulbright & Christian Herter in Washington

Senator William Fulbright (D-AR), right, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Secretary of State Christian Herter as they met last night at the secretary's Washington home. Herter, who had just returned from the Eisenhower-Macmillan talks at Camp David, MD, on nuclear test bans, discussed agreements reached there. After meeting an hour with Herter, Senator Fulbright said that a bi-partisan group of senators will join the Summit conference in Paris, "if an agreement on nuclear testing ban is in sight."
