Ambassador Vasco Vieira Garin puts papers into his briefcase after he addressed the United Nations General Assembly during debate on a resolution calling for harsh penalties against Portugal for her policy in Angola. Garin accused the United Nations of bias and said the debate was "mischievously designed." He walked out of the debate with his delegation and said he would take no part in discussions of charges of Portuguese terrorism in Angola.
