1966 Press Photo Kobla Attoh and other political prisoners released from Ghana

Kobla Y. Attoh, left, national publicity secretary of the United Opposition Party, and other political prisoners are shown coming out of detention in Accra, Ghana. They were among the 450 political prisoners released from Ghana's jails by the country's new military leaders who ousted President Kwame Nkruman from power. Attoh and others were the first to be detained under Nkrumah's Preventive Detention Act on November 10, 1958.
