1975 Press Photo British tanker Globtik Sun burns in the Gulf of Mexico

The 734-foot British tanker Globtik Sun burns in the Gulf of Mexico some 100 miles south of Lake Charles, Louisiana, after it smashed into an unmanned drilling platform early Friday. The fire is being fed by some 14.7 million gallons of oil it was carrying.
