Senator and Mrs. Barry Goldwater announced the engagement of their daughter, Margaret, to Richard Arlen Holt of Northridge, CA, during a New Year's Eve party. The marriage is planned for June 27 in Phoenix. Arizona's Goldwater is considered a frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination this year. He will announce his decision on whether to seek the post at a news conference Friday.
