1965 Press Photo Homer Gruenther, White House tour guide, retires

Homer H. Gruenther, special presidential assistant who has taken thousands of persons on tours of the White House, poses in front of the Executive Mansion as he winds up his job today. Gruenther who served under President Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Johnson, is nearing 65 and says he wants to "catch up on my fishing and do some traveling."
