1965 Press Photo Lloyd Nelson Hand is new Chief of Protocol in Washington

Lloyd Nelson Hand (above), Los Angeles attorney and businessman, was named by President Johnson today as the State Department's new Chief of Protocol. He will succeed Angier Biddle Duke, who will become an Ambassador. Hand was an assistant to Johnson from 1957 to 1961.
