Northern Galloway, pictured before his recent move from the Broadway to the London production of "Pippin" is making his mark as composer in addition to as performer. He concentrates on single songs he classifies as "black pop, though I hope everyone will sing it." He's never had time for formal music training but imposes his own discipline, keeping to a strict daily creative regimen. And songs of his have already been recorded by various artists, among them Lena Horne.
