1966 Press Photo Phil Burleson & Eva Grant, Ruby's sister, leave hospital

Phil Burleson, Jack Ruby's attorney, comforts Ruby's sister Mrs. Eva Grant of Dallas, as they leave Parkland Hospital after Ruby's death today. Burleson was the only original member of the Ruby defense team still remaining on the case. Ruby died of cancer after being transferred to Parkland Hospital December 9 from the Dallas County jail where he had been held since his conviction in the slaying of presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald.
