Description
One of the pioneers in space research, Jack Konikoff, studies a device to provide astronauts with drinkable water from their own body wastes, at the big space lab in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Food would come from solid wastes. Konikoff, the lab's manager of biotechnology, is in charge of projects to supply machines to process the wastes small enough to fit into a space ship.
