The Reverend Dr. Franklin Clark Fry, 61, of New Rochelle, New York (above) was elected President of the new Lutheran Church of America yesterday in a ceremony at Detroit. Dr. Fry had long headed the United Lutheran Church, biggest of the four groups merging to create the new denomination.
