A Catholic priest identified only as Father Francisco (center) is welcomed to a Cuban stronghold of anti-Castro rebels by Major Evelio Duquo (left) leader of the group. A commando unit of the rebel forces sneaked the priest through the lines formed by Castro troops trying to wipe out the rebels operating in the Escambray region of the Villas Province.
