1962 Press Photo Jack Graham delivers cards to amputee patient Dianne Fowler

10-year-old Dianne Fowler of Fairforest in Spartanburg County accepts some 2,000 cards and gifts from mail carrier Jack Graham in her General Hospital room Sunday. Her left leg was amputated from the knee three weeks ago and had appealed for cards from "everyone who wanted to send her one."
