William H. Fields, executive editor of the Atlanta Constitution, holds a tape recorder after the news media listened to a tape demanding $700,000 ransom for Reg Murphy, editor of the Constitution. Murphy disappeared from his home Wednesday night after being asked by a man to help distribute $100,000 worth of heating oil to needy causes.
