1970 Press Photo Alexandre Filipov, Russian defector, with newsmen in Mexico

Alexandre Filipov, right, a former member of the Russian Igor Moisiev Classic Ballet, faces newsmen in Mexico City Tuesday to answer questions regarding his defection to the West last week. Filipov was granted Mexican political asylum. At his left is his friend, identified as Lucia Tristao, 20, a Brazilian dancer of the Minas Gerais ballet group.
