Lt. General James M. Gavin, who sails tomorrow for France where he will be the U.S. Ambassador, is shown with his family in New York today. At left, is Mrs. Gavin, who said she is changing her name from Jean to Jeanne. In France, Jean is a male name meaning John. The children are: Chloe, 6, sitting at left; Aileen, 9, sitting at right; Caroline, 15, standing at left and Patricia, 11.
