Description
Thousands of snow geese and white fronted geese fly into the air from resting and feeding ground at Gray Lodge Waterfowl Management area west of Live Oak, California. Some ducks and geese winter in the area. Others are transients who pause briefly while en route north or south depending on the season. The State Fish and Game Department operate the 6,800 acre refuge.

Photo is dated 1962.
