1968 Press Photo Treasury Secretary Henry Fowler appears on "Face the Nation."

Secretary of the Treasury Henry Fowler said today "I heartily approve and indeed applaud" French President Charles de Gaulle's decision not to devalue the franc. Fowler also said he does not think de Gaulle's decision will have any effect on the value of the U.S. dollar. Fowler appeared on the Columbia Broadcasting Company's "Face the Nation."
