1961 Press Photo Bruce Edwards questioned by policemen in death of Lucy Edwards

Sixteen-year-old Bruce Edwards of Granville County, NC, is questioned today by nearby Colonial Heights police concerning the fatal shooting of his step-mother, Mrs. Lucy May Edwards. Mrs. Edwards' body was discovered at her home near Oxford, NC. The policemen are L.E. Elder and Sgt. J.L. Norman who is holding a rifle which, he said, was found in Edwards' car when he was stopped for speeding.
