1972 Press Photo Sequence of solar eclipse photos made in Seattle, Washington

Starting with the upper left the moon moved into a shadow thrown by the earth blocking the sun's rays. Bruce McKim, Seattle Times, used a 500mm lens to record the event, that will not occur again in the United States until 1975.
