1973 Press Photo Partial lunar eclipse shown in Los Angeles, California

The last phase of a partial lunar eclipse is shown in these photos as it was visible here last night between 5:10 to 6:20 p.m. Griffith Park observatory here said the eclipse was visible throughout the U.S. but that it started before the full moon rose over the West.
