John E. Fretwell, a partner in the Ace Air Control Company of Dallas displays one of the firm's watchdogs in front of the business last fall. The 20-pound rattlesnake is one of seven that were kept in the company's window in a cage and that could be seen by passersby. The snakes were caught on a hunt at Waurika, Oklahoma. Recently the Dallas fire department made the men remove the snakes since they would not enter the building in case of fire.

Photo is dated 1971.

Photo measures 10.25 x 8 inches.
