1969 Press Photo George Flamourides, accused Olympic Airways hijacker, in Cairo

The accused hijacker of an Olympic Airways DC6, identified by the Greek government as George Flamourides, 30, sits between two security men at Cairo airport today. The plane was hijacked after takeoff from Crete on its way to Athens today. A Greek gunman rushed into the cockpit, fired a warning shot through a window and forced the pilot to fly to Cairo. The 97 passengers later resumed their flight to Athens.
