1981 Press Photo Father John Finn with his ancient & valuable find at Lough Gara

Some may call it the luck of the Irish, but John Finn, who was ordained a Catholic priest here last May, believe perseverance and industry were responsible for his unearthing a rare artifact that has been apprised at $25,000. Finn, possessor of a roly-poly figure and a delightful Irish brogue laced with a hint of Shakespearean English, found his treasure this past summer while walking by the shores of Lough Gara, a lake in County Sligo very near his home, Gurteen, in Ireland. Picture shows Father John Finn and his ancient and valuable find.
