This is Lei Freshman, a close friend of new Miss Universe Linda Bement who has a unique claim to fame: She won a local beauty contest last April in which Linda--also entered--didn't even place. "It's all in the judges," says 16-year-old Lei, but she admits she'd like to try for Miss Universe herself when she's old enough--in 1962.
